A seasoned HR leader with more than 25 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, and workforce transformation, Ashish joins Mahyco at a significant stage in the company’s growth and innovation journey.
In his new role, Ashish will lead Mahyco’s human resources strategy, talent development initiatives, organizational culture, leadership capability building, employee engagement, and workforce effectiveness agenda. He will play a key role in strengthening the people foundation required to support the company’s continued focus on research, innovation, and agricultural advancement.
Prior to joining Mahyco, Ashish spent an impressive 26 years with Sterlite Technologies Ltd. and Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd. (Vedanta Group), where he held a series of progressively senior HR leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Head of HR / AGM – India and China, leading strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, organizational change management, and HR analytics across multiple geographies.
During his tenure, he successfully introduced AI-enabled talent acquisition and employee engagement initiatives, developed innovative workforce development programs, implemented HR scorecards and multiskilling frameworks, strengthened diversity and inclusion practices, and leveraged HR analytics to drive data-based decision-making. His leadership contributed significantly to employee development, productivity enhancement, and organizational effectiveness.
Earlier, Ashish served as Business HR Head – India, where he transformed talent acquisition processes through structured assessment methodologies, strengthened succession planning, enhanced leadership development programs, and redesigned performance-linked compensation systems. Under his leadership, the organization achieved significant improvements in employee engagement and successfully earned Great Place to Work recognition.
Prior to that, he held leadership roles including Chief Manager – HR & Deputy Manager and Officer, where he contributed to large-scale greenfield and brownfield projects, operational excellence initiatives, organizational restructuring programs, policy development, process optimization, and workforce capability enhancement. Throughout his career at Sterlite, he consistently demonstrated an ability to align HR strategy with business objectives while driving sustainable organizational growth.
Ashish has developed deep expertise across talent management, organizational development, leadership development, HR technology, succession planning, workforce analytics, employee experience, labor relations, performance management, change management, and strategic human resource planning. He is also recognized for his passion for knowledge sharing and regularly contributes to HR forums and professional platforms through leadership and people management discussions.
