Zug, Zug, Switzerland, May 2025 – Mathan Durairaj has been elevated to the position of Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at Holcim, a global leader in sustainable building solutions. Based in Zug, Switzerland, Mathan will lead Holcim’s global procurement function, driving value across the supply chain with a sharp focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
In the most recent phase of his career at Holcim, Mathan held the position of Head of Group Logistics & Supply Chain Europe for nearly a year. In this role, he was instrumental in optimizing logistics strategies and strengthening supply chain capabilities across the European region.
Before that, he served as Regional Head Procurement & Logistics – EMEA for over three years, managing large-scale sourcing strategies and logistics operations. He played a key role in streamlining procurement practices and improving cost efficiencies across Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
Earlier, Mathan was Head of Regional Procurement – MEA at Holcim for nearly three years, where he led procurement transformation in the Middle East and Africa, reinforcing supplier partnerships and advancing digital procurement initiatives.
Prior to joining Holcim, Mathan spent nearly seven years at Sika GCC, where he served as Area Procurement Manager – Middle East and held earlier roles in supply chain and logistics. He also held supply chain leadership roles in Australia, including positions as Supply Chain Manager and National Logistics and Inventory Controller, demonstrating his versatility across diverse markets and industries.
