Denver, Colorado, United States, July 2025 – Matt Martin has taken on a new position as Vice President, Human Resources – Talent & Leadership Development, International HR at Lumen Technologies. In this expanded leadership role, Matt will oversee global talent development initiatives with a focus on skills transformation, AI-based training, leadership programs, and employee engagement. Additionally, he will lead international HR operations across EMEA, APAC, and India, supporting over 3,000 employees in 10+ countries.
Prior to this, Matt served as Vice President, Human Resources – Talent Development, International HR, M&A at Lumen for nearly a year and a half. In that capacity, he was instrumental in delivering high-impact training, driving the company’s HR M&A practice, and implementing AI training strategies, including a notable presentation at Microsoft Ignite on Copilot integration.
Before this, Matt held the role of Vice President, Human Resources – People Strategy, where he served as a strategic HR partner to C-level executives supporting 10,000+ employees. He played a key role in HR M&A initiatives and led international HR teams across EMEA and APAC.
Matt’s earlier tenure at Lumen includes his time as Senior Director, People Strategy and Director, People Strategy, where he led HR transformation efforts, acted as interim Chief of Staff to the CHRO, and supported executive-level HR strategy. He began his Lumen journey as HR Business Partner – Lead, pioneering human capital planning across North American operations.
Before joining Lumen, Matt built a strong foundation at Textron Aviation, where he held various HR leadership roles including Manager, HR Benefits and Shared Services and HR Business Partner – Sales and Marketing. His early career included roles in labor relations, analytics, and talent development under Textron’s Leadership Development Program.
