Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, September 2024 – Michelle Faulkner has been appointed as the Head of Talent and People Strategy at Allens, a leading international law firm. In her new role, Michelle will lead the firm’s national talent, performance, and succession planning efforts, driving strategic growth and development across the organization.
Michelle’s career at Allens began when she joined as the Senior Manager – Talent & Capability in July 2023. During this time, she led a Center of Excellence team, designed and delivered talent management strategies, and focused on developing a diverse pipeline of talent through proactive succession planning and career development frameworks.
Before taking on the Senior Manager role, Michelle served as the Talent and Capability Manager from March 2021 to July 2023. In this role, she was responsible for managing the firm’s talent, engagement, and performance processes, contributing to a positive employee experience and aligning talent strategies with business objectives.
Earlier in her career, Michelle held various educational leadership roles, including Assistant Head of Junior School at Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong, where she led a team of over 50 teachers and managed the wellbeing and pastoral care of 500 students during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as a Year Group Leader and Teacher at Dulwich College Beijing, showcasing her leadership and organizational skills in managing large teams and student groups.
