New York City Metropolitan Area, United States, April 2025 – Mikaela Waller has taken on a new role as Vice President, Human Resources & Learning – Credit at Synchrony, where she will lead HR and learning strategies for the company’s Credit division. In her new position, Mikaela will partner with senior leadership to drive change management, implement scalable learning programs, and enhance employee growth, engagement, and development across the function.
Mikaela has been with Synchrony for over five years, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President, Global Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Citizenship, where she led impactful DEI and corporate citizenship initiatives for a global workforce across the US, India, and the Philippines. Prior to that, she held multiple HR roles within Synchrony’s Business Leadership Program, rotating across areas like enterprise operations and data analytics, while delivering organizational development, talent engagement, and compliance support.
She began her journey at Synchrony as an HR BLP Intern in Learning & Development, and has since built a strong foundation in employee relations, career development, and leadership coaching. Her early experience also includes internships at American Express and Englewood Hospital, and leadership roles with University of South Carolina’s Student Government, showcasing her deep passion for people, development, and service.
