In her expanded role, Misty will continue to lead the People & Culture function, driving initiatives across talent strategy, employee experience, organizational development, and culture alignment. Her elevation reflects Happinest’s commitment to building a scalable, high-performing organization while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit of its partner brands.
Misty has been a key pillar at Happinest Brands for over four years, most recently serving as Director of People & Culture, where she worked closely with the CEO and leadership team to establish and strengthen the organization’s people strategy. She has been instrumental in aligning culture with business performance, designing workforce planning frameworks, and building foundational HR systems that support growth across multiple brands.
During her tenure, she led initiatives spanning talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, HR compliance, and rewards programs, while also shaping Happinest’s employer brand and enhancing employee engagement across the organization. Her work has ensured that people-first practices remain central to the company’s growth journey.
Before joining Happinest, Misty held leadership roles with the Army National Guard, where she managed HR operations and workforce strategy for large, complex organizations. As Senior Human Resources Manager, she oversaw the full employee lifecycle for hundreds of employees, drove efficiency improvements, and managed large-scale HR budgets and systems implementations.
She also served as Deputy Director of Personnel, leading cross-functional HR teams supporting over 6,000 employees and delivering high-impact HR programs, policy frameworks, and compliance initiatives. Her earlier experience includes roles in talent acquisition and HR operations, where she built strong expertise in recruitment, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
Misty began her career in the United States Army, developing a strong foundation in HR operations, employee lifecycle management, and leadership—experience that continues to shape her structured, execution-focused approach to people strategy.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University, further strengthening her strategic and business-oriented HR leadership capabilities.
