Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 – Mukesh Kumar has taken on an expanded leadership role as Joint Vice President – Human Resources at HDFC ERGO General Insurance, further strengthening his position within the company. In this capacity, he continues to drive human resources strategy across key verticals while expanding his oversight and contributions to the organization’s talent agenda nationwide.
Mukesh joined HDFC ERGO General Insurance nearly three years ago and most recently served as Deputy Vice President – HRBP & Talent Acquisition, where he led strategic HR business partnering and talent acquisition across diverse domains such as Technology, Marketing, Digital Business, Call Centers, Rural Agri Business, and Motor Sales. His role emphasized aligning talent strategies with business objectives, performance management, employee engagement, and the enhancement of hiring quality through data-driven insights.
Prior to this, he served at Jio, where he was Head – Talent Acquisition (Mumbai). During his nearly three-year tenure, he managed recruitment across multiple business verticals and implemented structured hiring processes, performance KPIs for teams, and data-backed hiring strategies, enabling improved hiring efficiency.
Earlier in his career, Mukesh held the role of Head – TA & HRBP – Health Business at Reliance Capital, where he set up the health insurance division’s recruitment framework from scratch, delivering exceptional scale and quality in hiring. He also implemented automated hiring processes and built robust employee engagement and communication frameworks.
Mukesh has also held progressive HR leadership positions at Apollo Munich Health Insurance, New Era India, The Adecco Group, and PMS Consulting, acquiring expertise across talent acquisition, employee relationship management, HR automation, and strategic workforce planning over a span of more than two decades in the industry.
