Cerritos, California, United States, January 2026 — The Oncology Institute (NASDAQ: TOI) has announced the appointment of Nolan Mariano as its new Chief People Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the organization continues to scale its value-based oncology care model across the United States.
In his new role, Mariano will lead enterprise-wide people strategy encompassing HR operations, talent acquisition, leadership development, and total rewards. He will focus on strengthening organizational capability, enhancing employee experience, and aligning people initiatives with TOI’s rapid growth strategy to support its expanding national footprint.
Before his elevation to Chief People Officer, Nolan Mariano served as Vice President, People at The Oncology Institute, where he led key people strategy initiatives, organizational effectiveness programs, leadership development efforts, and employee engagement frameworks aligned with business priorities.
Prior to joining TOI, he spent nearly three years as Director, Human Resources at CellCarta, where he led HR operations and supported workforce integration and organizational scale-up initiatives during periods of accelerated growth.
Earlier in his career, Mariano held senior HR leadership roles at Antech Diagnostics, Interior Logic Group, and MXD Group, where he supported multi-state workforces, strengthened HR governance, and implemented workforce wellbeing and performance programs.
