HOUSTON, TEXAS — June 2026 — NRG Energy has appointed Stacy Eng as Senior Vice President, Head of People & AI Innovation, a newly created enterprise leadership role that underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence, talent transformation, and workforce innovation to support its long-term growth strategy.
In this pioneering position, Eng will lead the integration of people strategy, leadership development, workforce transformation, and AI-enabled organizational capabilities across NRG Energy. Her appointment reflects the growing convergence of human capital and artificial intelligence as organizations seek to build future-ready workforces capable of thriving in an increasingly digital and technology-driven environment.
Eng joins NRG with nearly three decades of experience spanning talent management, leadership development, organizational transformation, learning strategy, and AI-enabled workforce innovation across some of the world’s most respected organizations.
Most recently, she served as Chief Learning & Talent Officer and HR AI Strategy & Change Leader at Chevron, where she led enterprise learning, leadership development, talent management, and AI-enabled workforce transformation initiatives. During her six-year tenure, she played a pivotal role in aligning talent and organizational capability strategies with Chevron’s digital transformation agenda while advancing the integration of artificial intelligence into HR and workforce practices.
In parallel, Eng serves as Executive Advisor, Chief Strategist & AI Enablement Officer at AI Strategy Advisors, where she advises organizations on AI strategy, workforce readiness, leadership transformation, and enterprise change management.
Prior to Chevron, Eng spent eight years with Johnson & Johnson, holding senior global leadership roles including Global Head of Leadership Development & Learning and Global Head of Talent Management for Supply Chain. In these capacities, she led leadership pipeline development, global learning strategies, succession planning, and talent transformation initiatives across one of the world’s largest healthcare organizations.
Earlier in her career, she served as Executive Director, Talent Development at Morgan Stanley, where she led leadership and talent development programs for the global financial services firm. She also spent eight years at Goldman Sachs as Vice President, Goldman Sachs University, helping shape leadership and professional development programs across key international markets including New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
Eng began her leadership development career with American Express, where she managed leadership and management development programs supporting organizational capability building and workforce effectiveness.
At NRG Energy, she will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide people innovation, AI-enabled workforce transformation, leadership capability development, organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, and future workforce readiness as the company continues to evolve its business and customer solutions portfolio.
