Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, June 2026 — Times Internet has appointed Rahul K. Rao as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). In his new role, Rahul will lead the company’s technology strategy, driving innovation, scalability, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and enterprise-wide digital initiatives across Times Internet’s diverse portfolio of digital businesses.
With more than 15 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation, Rahul K. Rao has built a strong track record of enabling technology-led business growth across leading technology, fintech, telecom, and manufacturing organizations. As Chief Information Officer at Times Internet, he will focus on building secure, scalable, and future-ready technology platforms while aligning IT strategy with the company’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
Prior to joining Times Internet, Rahul served as Director – Cloud, IT Infrastructure and DevOps at Pine Labs, where he led enterprise cloud transformation, DevOps modernization, infrastructure strategy, IT procurement, and global technology operations. Before that, he was Divisional Head – Cloud Technologies and IT Infrastructure at Apollo Tyres Ltd, leading cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity enhancement, vendor partnerships, and enterprise technology transformation initiatives that improved operational efficiency and system performance.
Earlier in his career, Rahul held leadership roles at Bharti Airtel, where he served as Deputy General Manager – Cloud Operations and Engineering and Senior Manager – Cloud Operations and Engineering, overseeing large-scale cloud infrastructure, network virtualization, data center modernization, and enterprise networking. He also spent more than six years at Accenture, progressing through technology consulting and infrastructure leadership roles, delivering network transformation, cloud architecture, security consulting, and enterprise infrastructure solutions for global clients. Rahul began his technology career with Cisco and Convergys, building deep expertise in enterprise networking, infrastructure engineering, and technology operations.
Throughout his career, Rahul has developed extensive expertise in cloud computing, enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, artificial intelligence, automation, cloud operations, network architecture, digital transformation, IT governance, enterprise security, and technology strategy. His appointment reflects Times Internet’s continued investment in strengthening its technology capabilities as it accelerates innovation across its digital platforms.
