Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, March 2025 — Rakesh Tiwary has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Ambuja Cements Limited, marking a significant leadership addition to the company’s executive team. A highly qualified finance leader with over 25 years of experience, Rakesh is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary, and holds an MBA, bringing robust financial acumen and strategic insight to his new role.
Rakesh joins Ambuja Cements from Adani Airport Holdings Ltd., where he served as Group CFO and Managing Director of Navi Mumbai International Airport, overseeing financial strategy and operations for one of India’s largest airport portfolios. He was instrumental in driving capital structuring, stakeholder partnerships, and sustainable financial frameworks.
Earlier, he was the CFO of Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited, where he streamlined financial systems, optimized capital structures, and ensured regulatory compliance, reinforcing the company’s position as a leading energy provider. From 2016 to 2018, he also served as the CFO of Adani Mundra Solar Photovoltaic Ltd., driving financial strategy for large-scale renewable energy projects.

Prior to his tenure with the Adani Group, Rakesh held key finance leadership roles at JSW Steel, Reliance Industries Limited, and Indian Oil Corporation, where he led finance operations, project funding, ERP implementations, and risk mitigation strategies. His cross-sector experience in infrastructure, energy, steel, and oil & gas gives him a unique perspective on financial governance, stakeholder management, and business transformation.
