Bengaluru, India, July 2026 – Reliance Retail has appointed Abhishek Gupta as Senior Vice President and Head of Finance for its Fashion & Lifestyle (F&L) Business, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to accelerate growth across one of India’s most dynamic retail segments.
In his new role, Gupta will lead the finance function for Reliance Retail’s Fashion & Lifestyle business, overseeing financial strategy, business planning, capital allocation, governance, performance management, and commercial finance across both physical and digital channels. He will play a critical role in supporting the business’s continued expansion while enabling the integration of omnichannel retail experiences across brands, formats, and customer touchpoints.
Gupta joins Reliance Retail after a distinguished career spanning more than two decades across retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, and financial leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Livspace, where he led the company’s financial strategy, transformation initiatives, procurement, governance, and long-term growth agenda.
Prior to Livspace, Gupta was Chief Financial Officer at Myntra, one of India’s leading fashion e-commerce platforms. During his four-year tenure, he was responsible for business and finance strategy, investment planning, risk management, profitability, and financial operations, helping strengthen Myntra’s position in India’s highly competitive fashion retail market.
Earlier, he held senior finance leadership positions within the Flipkart Group, including Senior Director and Head of Finance for Flipkart Wholesale and Walmart India, as well as leadership roles in business finance across several key consumer categories. His work focused on driving sustainable growth, improving profitability, scaling private brands, and enabling strategic business expansion.
Before entering the e-commerce sector, Gupta spent nearly six years with Unilever, where he held multiple finance leadership positions across supply chain finance, sales finance, global controls, and business partnering. During this period, he led large-scale cost optimization initiatives, business transformation programs, and strategic financial planning projects across India and South Asia.
His earlier career includes finance leadership roles at Abbott, where he established key finance functions for the nutrition business, and ITC Limited, where he managed commercial operations, internal audit, retail finance, and business controls across multiple business divisions.
Known for his expertise in financial strategy, business partnering, commercial finance, operational excellence, governance, and digital business models, Gupta has built a strong reputation for aligning finance functions with business growth and transformation agendas.
His appointment comes at a time when Reliance Retail continues to strengthen its leadership capabilities across high-growth consumer businesses, with Fashion & Lifestyle emerging as a key strategic pillar within the company’s broader retail ecosystem.
