A seasoned business leader with nearly three decades of experience, Samit brings deep expertise in business strategy, operations, manufacturing, and the electrical infrastructure sector. His appointment marks a significant step in strengthening C&S Electric’s leadership as the company continues to expand its position in India’s electrical and power distribution industry.
Throughout his distinguished career, Samit Sachdeva has built a strong reputation for driving business transformation, operational excellence, manufacturing expansion, and sustainable growth across leading industrial organizations. As Managing Director & CEO of C&S Electric Ltd., he will focus on accelerating business growth, enhancing operational capabilities, strengthening manufacturing excellence, and reinforcing the company’s leadership across electrical and power distribution solutions.
Prior to joining C&S Electric Ltd., Samit spent nearly 15 years with Siemens, where he held several senior leadership positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as Vice President & Country Business Unit Head – Grid Technologies Products, leading businesses across high-voltage gas insulated switchgear, air insulated switchgear, instrument transformers, and large power transformers while overseeing multiple manufacturing facilities. During his tenure, he successfully scaled the business, led significant capital investments for expansion, and consistently exceeded key financial and operational performance targets.
Earlier at Siemens, he served as Vice President & Country Business Unit Head – Switching Products & Systems and previously as General Manager & Business Head – Gas Insulated Switchgear, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening manufacturing operations, driving business growth, and expanding the company’s market leadership in power infrastructure solutions.
Alongside his corporate leadership responsibilities, Samit also served as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Marathwada Zonal Council, contributing to industrial development and manufacturing excellence within the region.
Before Siemens, Samit spent nearly 12 years with Sterlite Technologies Limited, serving as General Manager & Head – Operations, where he led large-scale manufacturing and operational initiatives. Earlier in his career, he worked with JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. as Senior Engineer – Automation and Projects, following his initial role as Automation Engineer at Rathi Steel and Power Limited, laying a strong technical foundation in manufacturing automation and industrial operations.
Across nearly 30 years of leadership, Samit has developed extensive expertise in business strategy, manufacturing operations, electrical infrastructure, power transmission and distribution, operational excellence, business transformation, capital investment, automation, engineering leadership, and organizational growth.
