Kolkata, West Bengal, India – November 2024 – Senco Gold and Diamonds has appointed Samrat Banerjee as its new Head of Talent Acquisition. In his role, Samrat will be responsible for enhancing Senco’s recruitment strategies, ensuring alignment with the brand’s growth plans, and supporting Senco’s commitment to talent development across its 150+ stores nationwide. His expertise in talent acquisition and HR management will be pivotal in strengthening Senco’s workforce and building a dynamic, skilled team.

Before joining Senco Gold and Diamonds, Samrat Banerjee served as Regional Human Resources Manager – East at Merino Industries Limited, where he managed talent acquisition and HR strategy for over three years. His tenure was marked by a focus on process improvement and effective HR business partnering, which significantly impacted the company’s HR initiatives in the eastern region.

Samrat’s experience also includes his role as TA Partner – East at OYO, where he led talent acquisition across non-sales verticals for the eastern region, recruiting key talent from entry to senior levels. This role allowed him to deepen his expertise in full-life cycle recruiting and niche talent acquisition.

At Videocon Industries Ltd, Samrat held the position of Regional HR – East, managing a wide range of HR responsibilities, including performance management, training, and employee engagement. His contributions were integral to building strong talent pipelines and driving HR operations that aligned with business objectives.

Earlier in his career, Samrat served as HR – West Bengal & Orissa at Indusind Bank and Assistant Manager HR at HDFC Life, where he honed his skills in recruitment, HR operations, and compliance for multiple branches, further strengthening his foundation in HR management.
