MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, June 2026 — Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund (ABSLMF) has appointed Santosh Singh as Vice President & Head – Sales HR, marking a significant leadership transition within the broader Aditya Birla Capital ecosystem.
The appointment represents both a functional and business shift for Santosh, who moves into a strategic human resources leadership role after spending nearly eighteen years in learning and development leadership positions within Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance. In his new role, he will lead the sales HR agenda for Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, supporting talent strategy, workforce capability, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness across the sales organization.
Prior to joining ABSLMF, Santosh served as Sales Training Head – Proprietary Channels (Agency Channel, Direct Marketing and Group) at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, a position he held for almost eighteen years. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in building sales capability frameworks, strengthening frontline effectiveness, enhancing leadership development initiatives, and driving learning interventions that supported the growth of one of India’s leading life insurance businesses.
His extensive experience in sales capability development, training strategy, leadership development, and performance enhancement helped create scalable learning ecosystems aligned with business objectives and evolving customer expectations.
Before joining Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Santosh worked as Cluster Training Manager at Tata AIG Life Insurance, where he was responsible for sales training and capability-building initiatives across multiple business units and distribution channels.
Earlier in his career, he served as a Consultant with NIS Sparta, where he delivered learning and development interventions for leading organizations including Reliance Petroleum and Reliance Life Insurance. This experience provided him with exposure to diverse industries and enabled him to build expertise in sales effectiveness, behavioral development, leadership capability building, and organizational learning.
Over the course of more than two decades, Santosh has developed deep expertise in learning and development, sales capability enhancement, leadership development, talent management, organizational development, change management, performance improvement, and workforce transformation.
His recent completion of the Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) further strengthens his capability to drive strategic people initiatives and organizational transformation.
The move to Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund comes at a time when the asset management industry is experiencing significant growth, digital transformation, and increased focus on talent capabilities. Santosh’s extensive experience in developing high-performing sales organizations is expected to support ABSLMF’s continued growth ambitions and strengthen its people strategy.
