Pune, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — CIE Automotive India Limited has promoted Saurabh Agarwal to Chief Operating Officer & Business Head – Stampings, marking another significant milestone in his leadership journey within the organization.
In his expanded role, Saurabh will lead the company’s stamping business, overseeing business strategy, manufacturing operations, operational excellence, customer delivery, productivity, and sustainable growth across the division while driving profitability and strengthening CIE India’s position in the automotive components sector.
Prior to this elevation, Saurabh served as Group Plant Head – Stamping Division, where he led operations across seven manufacturing plants. During this period, he was responsible for driving operational performance, manufacturing excellence, productivity improvements, quality systems, and cross-plant coordination for one of the company’s largest manufacturing businesses.
Before joining CIE Automotive India, Saurabh spent over five years with Raychem RPG as Operation Head – Gas Meter | TE | EBU Business, where he held complete P&L responsibility. He led manufacturing operations, automation initiatives, digitization programs, business expansion, operational efficiency, and customer delivery while driving overall business performance.
Earlier, he served as Plant Head at Minda Corporation Limited, leading end-to-end manufacturing operations while championing business excellence initiatives. During his tenure, he also became a Certified Assessor for the CII EFQM Business Excellence Model, reflecting his commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
A significant part of his career was spent with UNO MINDA Group, where he held leadership positions in Indonesia for more than a decade. As DGM – Supply Chain Management & Sales, he managed procurement, production planning, warehousing, logistics, exports, imports, and customer delivery across complex manufacturing operations.
Earlier at UNO MINDA, as Manager – Production Engineering, Assembly & Plant Maintenance, he led plant modernization initiatives, assembly line development, facility planning, Kanban implementation, Total Productive System (TPS) initiatives, quality circles, Poka-Yoke deployment, production engineering, and plant maintenance, building a strong foundation in lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
Complementing his extensive industry experience, Saurabh earned a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Digital Manufacturing from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, further strengthening his expertise in digital transformation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
With nearly three decades of leadership experience spanning manufacturing, supply chain, operations, digital manufacturing, business excellence, and P&L management, Saurabh brings deep operational expertise to his new role as he leads the next phase of growth for CIE Automotive India’s stamping business.
