Bangalore Urban, Karnataka, India, September 2024 – Seema Nair has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Flipkart. In her new role, Seema will lead the HR strategy for Flipkart, driving key initiatives to support its workforce of over 350 million customers and a wide range of stakeholders.
Prior to joining Flipkart, Seema held senior HR roles at Reliance Industries Limited for over six years. As Senior Executive Vice President, she led the Reliance Group HR Office and the Reliance Group HR Digitization, overseeing critical HR initiatives and the development of employee and contract workforce management platforms. She played a pivotal role in driving HR policies across all Reliance businesses.
Before her time at Reliance, Seema was the Senior Vice President and CHRO at Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages for nearly two years. In this capacity, she supported a workforce of over 20,000 employees and led an HR team of 170 professionals across India and the SAARC region, driving talent development, leadership programs, and strategic HR projects.
Seema also served at Cisco for more than eight years in various leadership positions, including CHRO for India and SAARC. She was responsible for developing HR strategies for a workforce of over 30,000 employees, while also playing a key role in supporting Cisco’s “Digital India” initiatives and growth strategies.
Earlier in her career, Seema held significant HR leadership roles at Intel Corporation, Hughes Software Systems, and Microland Limited, where she contributed to talent development, employee engagement, and HR operations across diverse sectors.
