PUNE, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA — Shantanu Sirsath has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer at Growatt New Energy, marking a significant step in his extensive career in the solar energy and industrial automation sectors. Sirsath has been with Growatt New Energy for over five years, and his promotion reflects his pivotal role in advancing the company’s technological initiatives.
Prior to his new role as CTO, Sirsath served as the Technical Head for India at Growatt New Energy, a position he has held since January 2019. In this role, he was instrumental in pre-sales technical support and service management, significantly enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies across the company’s offerings.
Before joining Growatt, Sirsath was with Polycab India Ltd from September 2016 to December 2018, where he excelled as Deputy Manager of Service. His tenure at Polycab was marked by substantial improvements in technical support and customer service strategies, which bolstered the company’s reputation in the energy sector.
From September 2012 to September 2016, Sirsath was an Assistant Manager of Technical Support at Advanced Energy, a leading manufacturer of solar inverters. Here, he was responsible for the installation and maintenance of both string type and central inverters, addressing warranty issues, and conducting extensive customer training, both in-house and on-site.
Sirsath’s early career involved a critical role at Baumuller India Pvt Ltd, where he served as a Senior Service Engineer from May 2008 to September 2012. During this period, he was deeply involved in servicing and supporting a wide range of automation technologies including servo and DC motors, PLCs, and HMIs, crucial for textile, printing, plastic, and packaging machines across various mechanical industries.
