Tokyo, Japan, April 2026 – Simone Berger has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer / Executive Officer at Olympus Corporation, strengthening the company’s global leadership team as it accelerates its people and culture transformation agenda.
In this role, Simone Berger will lead Olympus’ global HR strategy, focusing on organizational development, talent transformation, and building a high-performance culture aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives. Her appointment reflects Olympus’ continued emphasis on embedding purpose-driven leadership and performance-oriented culture across its global operations.
Upon her appointment, Berger acknowledged the strong foundation laid by her predecessor and expressed her commitment to shaping a culture “where purpose meets performance,” as the organization continues to evolve in a dynamic global environment.
Prior to joining Olympus Corporation, Simone Berger served as Chief People Officer / Executive Board Member at STADA Group, where she led the global people strategy and played a key role in driving organizational transformation and leadership alignment across the business.
Earlier, she held the position of Senior Vice President Human Resources at Goodbaby International, where she contributed to scaling HR strategy across international markets, while also serving as Vice President Human Resources at CYBEX GmbH, leading HR for a fast-growing global lifestyle and technical products organization.
Her experience also includes leadership roles at Voith GmbH as Regional HR Manager – Asia Pacific, where she managed HR operations across the region, and at Schaeffler, where she held multiple roles including Senior HR Manager Asia Pacific and Manager International HR, building deep expertise in global HR operations and talent strategy.
She began her career with Bayer, serving as Expatriate Manager North America, where she gained early exposure to international HR and mobility management.
With over two decades of global HR leadership experience, Simone Berger brings a strong track record in culture transformation, talent strategy, and organizational effectiveness across diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and engineering.
