Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, May 2026 – Smitha Hemmigae has been elevated to Chief Market Officer at ANSR, marking a significant milestone in her leadership journey and underscoring the growing importance of market-building within India’s rapidly evolving Global Capability Center (GCC) ecosystem.
Her elevation reflects more than a change in title. At ANSR, the Chief Market Officer role is focused on shaping markets, influencing enterprise narratives, building category leadership, and strengthening the broader GCC ecosystem. Over nearly six years with the organization, Smitha has played a pivotal role in helping position GCCs from a niche industry segment into a strategic boardroom and policy discussion, while strengthening ANSR’s position at the center of one of India’s most important enterprise growth stories.
Under her leadership, ANSR significantly expanded its influence through flagship platforms, ecosystem initiatives, market research, thought leadership programs, global enterprise forums, industry conferences, and strategic engagements with policymakers and business leaders across Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. Her contributions have helped elevate conversations around talent, innovation, digital transformation, and global capability center growth across India.
Before assuming her new role, Smitha served as Managing Director at ANSR. Prior to that, as Head of Marketing – Marketing and Employer Brand, she led the integrated marketing function for ANSR and Talent500, successfully translating business strategy into impactful marketing programs spanning customer engagement, content, research, public relations, ecosystem development, and thought leadership. During this period, she repositioned the ANSR brand, aligned it with the organization’s evolving vision, and advised CXOs of global enterprises exploring India growth strategies.
She also established and led ANSR’s market advisory practice, conducting research and market intelligence across business services, digital transformation, technology value chains, and GCC evolution. Her team launched industry-first research initiatives and provided strategic advisory support to organizations establishing and expanding their global capability centers in India. Simultaneously, she led ANSR’s employer branding practice, helping Fortune 500 organizations build localized employer value propositions, talent attraction strategies, content ecosystems, and employer branding campaigns to strengthen their presence in India’s competitive talent market.
Prior to joining ANSR, Smitha served as Head of Marketing – India at ThoughtWorks, where she led both demand-generation and talent-focused marketing initiatives. Earlier, she held senior marketing leadership roles at CSS Corp, serving as Senior Director and Marketing Director, leading content marketing, digital marketing, analyst relations, public relations, influencer engagement, and thought leadership programs.
Her career also includes leadership positions at Unisys, Infosys, Logica, Aztec Software, and AmSoft Information Services, where she developed expertise across go-to-market strategy, account-based marketing, analyst relations, corporate communications, market research, brand management, and strategic growth programs. Over a career spanning more than two decades, she has consistently built high-impact marketing and market-development functions across global technology and consulting organizations.
Beyond her corporate leadership responsibilities, Smitha is also Co-Founder of Your Philanthropy Story, a platform dedicated to sharing stories of philanthropy and social impact, reflecting her commitment to community engagement and purpose-driven leadership.
Her elevation comes at a time when India’s GCC sector has emerged as a global powerhouse, generating billions of dollars in economic value and becoming increasingly central to how multinational organizations innovate, build capabilities, and scale operations globally.
