Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Sumitra Shetty has stepped into her new role as Talent Access Leader India & Early in Career Lead APAC at Kenvue. Her elevation marks an important milestone in her talent leadership journey and reflects the company’s confidence in her ability to strengthen talent access, early career hiring, and people strategy across India and the wider APAC region.
Before taking on this role, Sumitra Shetty served at Kenvue as Talent Acquisition Partner India & APAC Early in Career Lead. Prior to that, she was Talent Acquisition Partner, India, steadily building her leadership profile within the organization. Her progression across these roles highlights strong internal growth and a deepening contribution to talent acquisition and early career strategy.
Before joining Kenvue, Sumitra Shetty worked at Sanofi as Manager – Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding. In that role, she added further depth to her expertise in hiring, employer branding, and talent strategy within the healthcare and life sciences sector.
Earlier, she was associated with Unilever as Senior Talent Advisor, where she managed talent acquisition across business verticals including Research & Development in South Asia and Sales across general trade, modern trade, and e-commerce. Her responsibilities also included talent mapping, succession planning, diversity and inclusion initiatives, HR reporting, and driving the recruitment digital roadmap for India through AI-enabled tools and systems. This role significantly strengthened her experience across strategic hiring, stakeholder partnership, and digital transformation in recruitment.
Prior to that, Sumitra Shetty served as Deputy Manager, Talent Acquisition at Cipla, where she managed end-to-end talent acquisition, new hire induction and orientation, compensation discussions, leadership hiring, employer branding, budget management, and dashboards and reports. She also played a role in building a stronger talent acquisition center of excellence and supported HRMS-related initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she worked at Accenture as Human Resources Specialist, where she also had onshore deployment exposure with Hindustan Unilever Ltd. This phase helped build the operational and business-facing HR foundation that shaped her later growth in talent acquisition leadership.
Her career reflects strong and progressive experience across talent acquisition, employer branding, early career hiring, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, recruitment digitalization, and stakeholder management.
