Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, July 2026 — Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE: TFC) has announced the appointment of Shimna Sameer as Head of Truist Wealth. She will join the company in October 2026, reporting to Kristin Lesher, Chief Wholesale Banking Officer, and will serve as a member of the Truist Operating Council.
The appointment reflects Truist’s commitment to accelerating the growth of its wealth management business while enhancing client experience, advisor capabilities, and technology-driven innovation.
As Head of Truist Wealth, Sameer will oversee the business strategy for the company’s wealth management division, focusing on delivering a purpose-driven wealth management experience, strengthening advisor and client engagement, investing in innovative technology platforms, deepening enterprise partnerships, and driving long-term business growth.
Sameer brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across consumer banking, wealth management, and private banking.
Most recently, she served as Head of Products, Solutions and Platforms at Bank of America Private Bank, where she led digital platforms, business strategy, client experience, and talent initiatives. She also oversaw the delivery of specialized wealth capabilities—including wealth strategy, trust services, custom lending, and art services—across Bank of America’s wealth management businesses.
Earlier in her career, she led large-scale transformation initiatives, including developing sales strategies, digital solutions, and talent development programs for Merrill Edge, further strengthening her expertise in wealth management and digital transformation.
