Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, September 2024 – Vaishali Kasture has been appointed as General Manager, Small, Medium, and Corporates, India & South Asia at Microsoft. In her new role, Kasture will oversee the company’s strategies and initiatives targeting small and medium enterprises, as well as corporate clients across the region.
Vaishali Kasture brings a wealth of experience to her new position. She is the Co-Founder of SonderConnect, where she has been working for nearly nine years. SonderConnect is dedicated to mentoring female entrepreneurs and has established a strong presence in India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
Prior to her role at SonderConnect, Kasture served as Director & Country Head, Commercial Business, India and South Asia at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for about eleven months. Before that, she was the Head – Top Enterprise, Mid Market & Global Businesses – India & South Asia at AWS for approximately two years, focusing on driving growth and strategic initiatives.
Earlier, Kasture was the Managing Director and India Country Head at Experian, where she led the company’s operations in India, focusing on decision analytics and credit services for over a year and a half.
She also held positions as an Independent Director on the Board at L&T Financial Services for about a year, and as a Partner at Deloitte India for nearly a year and a half, where she led initiatives in banking GICs and was involved in RPA and Blockchain.
Kasture’s earlier roles include being the Managing Director at Goldman Sachs for over four years, where she managed significant operations and financial processes, and as Managing Director & COO – India at Butterfield Fulcrum Group for about four years, setting up the India GIC for the firm.
Her career began at Infosys BPO as the Global Head, Banking and Capital Markets, where she was instrumental in establishing and scaling the global banking and capital markets practice for Infosys BPO over three years. She also worked as Asst. Vice President at Citibank India for seven years, focusing on corporate banking.
