Espoo, Finland, June, 2024 – Valmet is delighted to announce that Anu Pires has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, effective from September 1, 2024. Reporting to the President and CEO, Anu will join Valmet’s Executive Team and bring her extensive international HR experience to the company. With over two decades of leadership in human resources, Anu’s expertise will be instrumental in driving Valmet’s HR strategy forward.
Anu Pires joins Valmet from Paulig Group, where she has served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources since 2018. Her vast experience across various multinational companies and sectors, including industrial and consumer businesses, makes her a perfect fit for Valmet. Anu has also held significant HR leadership roles at Lumene, Outotec, Microsoft, and Nokia, gaining valuable insights and skills that she will now bring to Valmet.
Prior to Paulig, Anu served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Lumene. At Outotec, she held several key HR roles, including Vice President of Human Resources for the Services Business Unit and Market Area HR Network.
Before joining Outotec, Anu was the Head of HR, APAC Mobile Device Sales, Nokia integration at Microsoft. She also spent a significant part of her career at Nokia, holding various HR management positions working in Brazil, China, and India. Anu began her career in human resources as an HR trainee and specialist at Valmet from 1996 to 1998.
