Sydney, Australia, June 2026 — Vocus has announced the appointment of Vanessa Morley as Chief People Officer, effective 3 August 2026. An accomplished people and culture executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience, Vanessa joins the organization with an outstanding track record of building high-performing teams, shaping organizational culture, and driving large-scale people transformation across some of Australia’s leading media, telecommunications, aviation, consumer goods, and technology organizations.
Prior to joining Vocus, Vanessa Morley served as Chief People Officer at Nine, where she spent more than eight years leading the company’s people and culture strategy. As Australia’s largest locally owned media company, Nine entrusted Vanessa with creating an environment that enabled its people to thrive while supporting a diverse portfolio of trusted brands spanning news, finance, entertainment, sport, streaming, publishing, and radio. During her tenure, she led initiatives focused on leadership capability, culture, talent, organizational effectiveness, and workforce engagement, helping strengthen one of Australia’s most recognized media organizations.
Earlier, Vanessa was Group Head of Talent at Coca-Cola Amatil, where she partnered closely with the executive leadership team and Board to build enterprise-wide talent strategies, leadership development frameworks, succession planning, and inclusive leadership programs across operations in six Asia-Pacific countries. Before that, she served as Director – Human Resources and General Affairs at Samsung Australia, leading HR strategy and organizational transformation while driving cultural change and aligning regional initiatives with local business priorities.
Vanessa also built an extensive leadership career at Qantas, where she spent more than nine years across several senior human resources positions, including Head of People Operating Model, Head of Talent and Inclusion, Executive Manager People, Corporate Groups, and Manager People Relations. During this period, she led enterprise HR transformation, talent management, leadership development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, workforce strategy, and people operations supporting thousands of employees across multiple business functions. Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership roles with Insurance Australia Group, The Marketing Store, and Employers First, establishing a strong foundation in employee relations, business partnering, and organizational development.
Recognized for her ability to build differentiated workplace cultures and develop high-performing leadership teams, Vanessa brings deep expertise in people strategy, organizational transformation, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, culture, diversity and inclusion, and workforce capability.
