New Delhi, India, March 2025 – Vikram Saxena has been appointed as Director (Technology and Field Services) at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). With over three decades of experience in Exploration & Production (E&P) operations across both onshore and offshore domains, he brings extensive expertise in operations, regulatory frameworks, and safety policies. In his new role, he will drive technological advancements, energy efficiency initiatives, and field service optimizations within ONGC.
Saxena has been a part of ONGC for several years, holding key leadership positions that have significantly contributed to the company’s technological innovation and operational excellence. His expertise in energy management and regulatory compliance has played a crucial role in enhancing safety and sustainability across ONGC’s operations.

A mechanical engineering graduate from Dibrugarh University, Saxena also holds an MBA in Human Resources from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has furthered his professional development through management programs at MDI Gurgaon, Energy Delta Institute of India, and prestigious institutions in Belgium, France, and Germany. As a certified Energy Auditor and Manager, his appointment underscores ONGC’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the oil and gas sector. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Assamese, he brings a global perspective and strong communication skills to his new leadership role.
