Johannesburg, South Africa, May 2026 — Vinayak Sasitharan has joined Mondelēz International as Senior Finance Director (CFO) – Sub-Saharan Africa, bringing extensive international finance leadership experience across FMCG, supply chain finance, commercial strategy, procurement, and regional business operations.
Prior to joining Mondelēz International, Vinayak spent nearly 16 years with The Arnott’s Group, where he held multiple senior finance leadership roles across Asia-Pacific markets.
Most recently, he served as Finance Director (CFO) Asia & Commercial Director Japan, based in Kuala Lumpur, where he led regional finance responsibilities while also driving strategic growth and operations within the Japan market.
Earlier, he held the role of Finance Director (CFO) Asia – Head of Finance, Procurement & IT, overseeing finance transformation, procurement operations, technology integration, and regional financial strategy. He also served as Finance Director (CFO) – Greater Indonesia, where he managed full P&L and balance sheet responsibilities for Indonesia and export markets across Southeast Asia.
During his tenure with The Arnott’s Group, Vinayak also held leadership roles in commercial finance and supply chain finance, contributing to profitability management, forecasting, ROI analysis, customer profitability reporting, and financial planning initiatives.
Before joining The Arnott’s Group, he worked with Macquarie Group as an Associate within Macquarie Securities Group and earlier served as Business Analyst at BT Financial Group.
