Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, May 2026 — Sanjay Pandita has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adani Total Gas, effective May 22, 2026.
Bringing close to 25 years of experience across the energy and mobility sectors, Sanjay has built deep expertise in LNG, city gas distribution, clean mobility, hydrogen, biogas, low-carbon fuels, and strategic energy infrastructure development. He is widely recognized for driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and sustainable energy initiatives across some of India’s leading energy organizations.
Prior to joining Adani Total Gas, Sanjay served at Jio-bp as Senior Vice President & Head – Gaseous Fuels, where he led businesses across ALPG, biogas, hydrogen, and CNG. In this role, he focused on startup business development, project management, P&L leadership, and clean mobility initiatives.
Earlier, he worked with India Gas Solutions Pvt. Ltd., seconded from Reliance Industries Limited, as Head – Gas Marketing & Contracts Management, and before that served as Vice President – Gas Marketing and Contracts Management at Reliance Industries Limited.
Before Reliance, Sanjay spent nearly four years with Mahanagar Gas Limited as General Manager, leading initiatives across CNG, PNG, and customer relationship management.
He also held multiple leadership roles during his nearly nine-year tenure with Gujarat Gas Company Limited, where he managed gas contracts, business development, CNG expansion, retail network growth, operations, credit risk management, and strategic investments.
Earlier in his career, Sanjay worked with Essar Oil Ltd as Territory Manager, contributing to fuel retail planning, development, and pricing strategy.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, Sanjay brings a strong blend of commercial, operational, and strategic leadership experience to Adani Total Gas as the company advances its clean energy and gas infrastructure agenda.
