Malta, August 2024 – Waylon Johnston has begun his new role as Head of People Experience at Chiliz, where he will be responsible for leading the company’s people experience strategies, focusing on enhancing employee engagement and fostering a positive work environment.
Waylon has been with Chiliz for over six years. Before his recent promotion, he served as the Internal Communications & Employer Branding Manager for three years, where he managed internal communication strategies and strengthened the company’s employer brand. Prior to that, he was the Corporate Communications & Content Manager, a role in which he was pivotal in developing corporate communication strategies and managing content creation for the brand.
Before joining Chiliz, Waylon worked as a Communications and PR Consultant on a freelance basis, where he honed his skills in communication, data analytics, and creative writing. His earlier experience includes a role as Communications Manager at Betsson Group, where he was responsible for handling both internal and external communications across multiple brands, developing strategies that aligned with company objectives.
Waylon also gained valuable experience at Sky News as a Freelance Planning Producer, where he was part of a team responsible for planning and generating story ideas, producing original content across media platforms, and managing complex communications within the newsroom.
