Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, May 2026 — Jessica (Jess) Spencer has stepped into her new role as Director of Talent Acquisition at Aritzia, bringing extensive expertise in recruitment leadership, talent strategy, DEI hiring, employer branding, and organizational growth within leading global retail and consumer brands.
Before joining Aritzia, Jess spent more than four years with Gap Inc., where she most recently served as Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, leading full lifecycle recruiting for complex leadership roles, early talent hiring, rotational management programs, and inclusive talent strategies across multiple functions. Earlier at Gap Inc., she also served as Talent Acquisition Manager supporting brands including Old Navy, Athleta, Banana Republic, and Gap.
Prior to Gap Inc., Jess held talent acquisition and HR leadership roles at Cambia Health Solutions, Columbia Sportswear Company, M Financial Group, OnPoint Community Credit Union, and Nordstrom, where she built deep expertise across full-cycle recruitment, employer branding, organizational development, talent pipeline strategy, DEI initiatives, and large-scale hiring transformation.
Earlier in her career, Jess also held merchandising and leadership roles with globally recognized brands including adidas, Nike, Quiksilver, Pottery Barn, and Gap Inc., providing her with a unique combination of retail, product, people, and brand-building expertise.
With more than two decades of experience spanning retail leadership, merchandising, human resources, and talent acquisition, Jess brings exceptional strategic recruiting and people leadership capabilities to Aritzia.
