Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Akshatha Karangutkar joins Aditya Birla Education Trust as HR Head. With over 20 years of experience in human resources management, she brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the role.
In her new role she will be responsible for overseeing the human capital for all the units of the group. Her expertise has been talent management, driving HR strategies, fostering employee development, people and business alignment and cultivating a positive organizational culture. She will report to Mrs. Neerja Birla and closely work with the senior leadership team to support the Company’s growth objectives.
Prior to joining Aditya Birla Education Trust, Akshatha held leadership roles at Samhita Social Ventures, Bank of Baroda Financial Solutions Limited, Dainik Bhaskar Group, Ad factors PR, NewsWire18 and Centrum Finance.

She is a Computer Science Graduate and holds a Post Graduate degree in Human Resources from Symbiosis Institute.
She is a State President for WICCI (Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry) for Maharashtra for their Mentoring & soft skills Council. She was recognized as Top “100 HR under 40” by Jombay for the year 2020. She loves reading and writing blogs, she speaks at various HR forums on various HR topics and key industry trends. She is associated as mentor with many local NGO’s and mentoring platforms and is a strong advocate of girl child education and women empowerment.
