Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, June 2025 — Taylor Johnson has been appointed as the Head of Talent Acquisition at Samsung Australia, bringing over a decade of experience in recruitment, talent management, and human resources to one of the world’s most innovative technology companies. In her new role, Taylor will lead Samsung’s national hiring strategy, with a focus on attracting, retaining, and developing top talent across all verticals.
Prior to joining Samsung Australia, Taylor served as Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Optus, where she played a vital role in strengthening the employer brand and managing full-cycle recruitment across commercial and enabling functions. Her tenure at Optus was marked by strategic hiring efforts, stakeholder alignment, and future-ready workforce planning.
Before Optus, she worked as a Talent Acquisition Partner at The Star Entertainment Group, contributing to high-volume and executive hiring, and advancing recruitment best practices for the hospitality and entertainment sector.
Taylor also held the role of Recruitment Advisor at Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia, where she led initiatives focused on inclusive hiring, culture fit, and employee engagement. Her work there supported a mission-driven organization that brings joy and comfort to children in hospitals.
Earlier in her career, Taylor built a strong foundation in recruitment and HR through various roles at Baycorp, including Recruitment Officer and HR Generalist, and has worked in client-focused roles such as Recruitment Consultant, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Coach/Trainer, bringing a versatile approach to people operations and business partnership.
