Chicago, Illinois, United States, September 2025 – McDonald’s Corporation has announced the appointment of Emily Reasor as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, marking a pivotal step in the company’s vision to make strategy a core driver of execution, growth, and competitive advantage. The announcement was shared by Chris Kempczinski, Chairman and CEO of McDonald’s Corporation, who emphasized that this hire reinforces McDonald’s commitment to embedding strategic discipline across its global operations.
In her new role, Reasor will collaborate across McDonald’s international business footprint to identify new opportunities, strengthen long-term priorities, and ensure the company’s strategy remains anchored in delivering value to customers, communities, and the McDonald’s system worldwide.
Emily Reasor joins McDonald’s from McKinsey & Company, where she served as Senior Partner for nearly 18 years. At McKinsey, she was a leader within the firm’s Growth, Marketing & Sales practice, where she specialized in pricing and margin management, with a focus on the B2C sector. Her expertise spanned advanced analytics and commercial strategy, including pricing, promotions, and assortment optimization, working with clients across restaurants, grocery, apparel, drug, and consumer-packaged goods industries.
Over her tenure at McKinsey, Reasor earned recognition for helping organizations achieve breakout growth through data-driven strategy, embedding analytical rigor into commercial decision-making, and advising global consumer-facing enterprises on building resilience and long-term value.
Reasor holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, where she built a strong foundation in problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical discipline—skills that continue to shape her strategic leadership today.
