Veronica Barrera Ramirez Appointed as Vice President Human Resources at Banesco Panamá

Panama City, Panamá, Panama, October 2025 — Banesco Panamá has appointed Veronica Barrera Ramirez as Vice President Human Resources, marking an important addition to the bank’s leadership team. In her new role, Veronica will lead the Human Resources strategy, foster a culture of excellence and engagement, and guide her team in driving employee satisfaction while strengthening Banesco’s position as a top employer in the financial services sector.

Veronica joins Banesco Panamá with more than 15 years of international HR leadership experience. Most recently, she served as Managing Director at Ubuntu Human Resources, where she advised organizations on building strong people strategies and talent development frameworks. Alongside this, she also held the role of Head of Human Resources for the Southern Cone of Central America at Castillo Hermanos, overseeing HR operations across Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Bolivia, and the Caribbean.

Prior to this, Veronica built a distinguished 13+ year career at Procter & Gamble, culminating in her role as Director of Human Resources for P&G Colombia. She was recognized with the prestigious CEO Award in 2020 for being among the top 3% of global performers, driving organizational culture transformation, work-life balance initiatives, and inclusion strategies. Her earlier roles at P&G included leading employee relations and HR strategy for Panama, where she successfully implemented critical policy reforms and mitigated major compliance risks.

She began her professional journey as an Intern in Internal Controls and Audit at AGN Jimenez & Asociados Ltda., gaining early exposure to organizational governance and compliance. Her diverse experience across multiple geographies and industries has equipped her with a strong foundation in human capital strategy, organizational design, and talent management.

With this appointment, Banesco Panamá strengthens its commitment to building a dynamic, employee-focused workplace culture while continuing to expand its footprint in the Panamanian financial services market.
