United States, November 2025 — Supergoop! has announced the appointment of Melis del Rey as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective December 8. This leadership transition marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey as it accelerates its global expansion strategy and strengthens its position as a category-defining leader in daily SPF innovation. With more than two decades of experience across consumer goods, beauty, e-commerce and omnichannel retail, Melis brings a proven record of scaling brands, transforming business units and elevating customer experience.
Prior to joining Supergoop!, Melis was the General Manager of U.S. Health and Beauty at Amazon, where she led commercial and operational strategy for multiple high-growth categories. Earlier at Amazon, she served in roles including GM/Director North America Stores Beauty, Baby & Beauty Technology, and Director Health & Beauty / Baby, EU Strategic Brand Acquisition, contributing to category expansion, marketplace innovation, and the advancement of strategic brand partnerships across regions. Her leadership helped drive sustainability of margin growth and improve digital retail experiences across multiple customer ecosystems.
Melis’s earlier leadership career includes more than twelve years at Procter & Gamble, where she held senior commercial and brand leadership roles, including Head of Pampers Northern Europe, overseeing a business of more than $680 million in retail value across multiple markets. Prior to this, she led strategic brand and category growth for Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, and various P&G salon and skincare portfolios across the UK and Western Europe. Known for her work in digital-first brand transformation, she architected notable go-to-market strategies, built high-impact consumer programs, and led launches that resulted in record market share growth and product penetration.
Before transitioning into commercial leadership, Melis began her early professional years in research and academic engineering roles, serving as a PhD Researcher in Manufacturing Engineering & Operations Management at the University of Nottingham. Her experience in research methodology and product/process architecture laid a foundation for her later success in consumer innovation, brand scaling, and multi-market operational leadership.
Alongside her executive journey, Melis continues to engage with the global beauty ecosystem through ongoing industry participation, including serving as a board member at Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW). Her leadership contributions demonstrate a sustained commitment to shaping the future of beauty innovation, consumer health, and experiential brand design.
