VSI Group, a leader in media content localisation, is excited to introduce two significant additions to its executive team, enhancing its leadership structure to support continued global expansion and innovation. Chris Rego will join the team as the new Chief Financial Officer, and Carmen Cerdan will take on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, a newly created position within the company.
Chris Rego comes to VSI Group with a robust background in financial management, having previously served as CFO for Miroma Group. Over more than a decade, Rego played a pivotal role in Miroma’s transition from a UK-centered business to a globally recognized full-service agency. His prior experience at BDO also enriched his expertise in financial operations and strategic growth initiatives.
“I am excited to join VSI and help them on the next phase of their journey. Norman Dawood, VSI’s founder, has built a great company over the last 35 years and I look forward to working side-by-side with Mark to accelerate our growth and footprint,” said Rego.
Carmen Cerdan brings over 25 years of human resources experience to VSI, having most recently led the HR team at Ria Money Transfer. At Ria, she managed the HR functions across five continents, catering to the needs of 5,000 employees. In her new role at VSI, she will be instrumental in integrating a consistent yet locally adaptable cultural and operational strategy across the company’s global offices.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join VSI in this new role. The creation of this new global role is an acknowledgment that having a great workforce is imperative to long-term success,” Cerdan commented.
Mark Howorth, CEO of VSI Group, praised the new appointments, “As VSI continues to grow in scale, service offerings, and geographies, our financial and human resource needs become more complex. Chris and Carmen bring the right mix of skills and leadership needed to guide our expansion and ensure our company remains a preferred partner in the industry.”
