White Plains, New York, United States, April 2026 — Emma Woodthorpe has joined Atlas Air as Chief People Officer, bringing extensive leadership experience across human resources, organizational transformation, executive leadership development, talent strategy, M&A integration, culture transformation, and scalable people infrastructure.
In her new role at Atlas Air, Emma Woodthorpe will partner with leadership teams to strengthen organizational capability, support continued business growth, and drive people strategies aligned with the company’s global aviation logistics expansion.
Before joining Atlas Air, Emma founded Auralent HR LLC, where she provided fractional and interim CHRO support to organizations navigating growth, transformation, and leadership transitions. Her advisory work focused on organizational design, executive development, talent strategy, HR transformation, and M&A integration.
Prior to this, Emma served as Chief People Officer at Brooks Automation, where she led strategic transformation of culture, inclusion, values, and people processes to align business priorities with organizational growth. She worked closely with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders to drive company-wide transformation.
Earlier, Emma was SVP & CHRO at Mercury Systems, where she led people strategy in a high-growth, acquisition-driven technology and aerospace environment, supporting leadership development, executive compensation, succession planning, and employer branding.
She also served as Vice President Human Resources at Xylem Inc., where she provided global HR leadership across multiple divisions, supported strategic acquisitions, workforce planning, and large-scale integration efforts.
Emma spent more than a decade with DuPont, holding several global HR leadership roles across corporate marketing, sales, imaging technologies, photovoltaics, and strategic business units. Her responsibilities included global organizational design, change management, strategic talent management, and workforce transformation.
She began her leadership journey with Display Research Laboratories Inc, where she managed broad HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, compliance, compensation, and employee benefits.
