Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, May 2026 — Joachim Ooi has stepped into the role of Head of People at CoinGecko, bringing nearly two decades of leadership experience across talent acquisition, HR transformation, culture building, employer branding, and organizational development.
Before joining CoinGecko, Joachim served as Manager, Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Arvato Systems Malaysia, where he led strategic talent initiatives, workforce planning, and people operations. He also played an influential role as Lead – DisruptHR Kuala Lumpur, contributing to progressive HR leadership and community innovation.
Earlier, Joachim held multiple leadership roles at Photobook Worldwide, including Talent & Culture Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager, where he built HR frameworks, launched people strategies, developed learning programs, and strengthened organizational culture.
His earlier career included significant HR and talent leadership positions at Standard Chartered Global Business Services, kevokloud, GrabTaxi, and ServiceRocket, where he developed expertise in scaling high-growth teams, HR systems, employee engagement, and strategic recruitment across technology-driven organizations.
