Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — Erum Kidwai has been elevated to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Ageas Federal Life Insurance, marking a significant milestone in a distinguished marketing leadership career spanning more than two decades.
The appointment underscores Ageas Federal Life Insurance’s commitment to nurturing leadership talent from within the organization and reflects Erum’s outstanding contribution to the company’s brand growth, customer engagement, marketing transformation, and business success. Having led the Marketing and Communications function for over four years, she now joins the executive leadership team at a time when the organization continues to strengthen its market position and customer-centric approach.
Erum Kidwai has been associated with Ageas Federal Life Insurance for more than fourteen years, making her one of the organization’s most experienced and influential marketing leaders. Prior to her elevation as Chief Marketing Officer, she served as Senior Vice President & Head Marketing, where she led the company’s marketing and communications agenda, driving brand strategy, customer engagement, digital marketing, communication initiatives, rewards and recognition programs, and customer experience enhancement.
Earlier, she served as Senior Vice President Marketing, overseeing a broad portfolio that included brand management, digital marketing, channel marketing, customer experience, communication strategy, contests, rewards and recognition programs, and brand-building initiatives. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s brand visibility, enhancing customer engagement, and supporting business growth across multiple distribution channels.
Before the organization’s transition to Ageas Federal Life Insurance, Erum held leadership roles within IDBI Federal Life Insurance, including Senior Vice President and Vice President Marketing. In these positions, she led brand strategy, digital marketing, customer engagement initiatives, channel activation programs, rewards and recognition frameworks, sponsorships, and customer connect campaigns. Her leadership significantly contributed to increasing brand awareness, customer acquisition opportunities, and business performance across the organization.
Prior to joining the insurance sector, Erum served as AVP – Brand Activation and Visibility at Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance, where she was responsible for nationwide brand activation, ATL and BTL campaigns, retail branding, customer engagement programs, and strategic visibility initiatives. She successfully managed branding efforts across thousands of banking touchpoints and helped strengthen the company’s market presence through innovative marketing campaigns.
Earlier in her career, she worked with HDFC Life as Zonal Marketing Manager, leading marketing initiatives across Northern India. During her tenure, she successfully executed hundreds of customer engagement programs, launched multiple branch branding initiatives, and supported market research and product development efforts. She began her professional journey with Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times Group), where she progressed rapidly from trainee to Assistant Manager and established herself as a high-performing marketing and media professional.
Across more than twenty-five years of experience, Erum has built expertise in brand management, marketing strategy, digital marketing, customer experience, communication, channel marketing, rewards and recognition programs, public relations, and business growth acceleration.
