The appointment represents a full-circle moment in Navin’s career. Having joined Transasia as a young professional at the start of his career, he now returns to the organization as a senior leader after building an impressive track record across some of the world’s most respected healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, and medical technology companies.

In his new role, Navin will lead sales and marketing strategy, business growth initiatives, market expansion, customer engagement, and commercial excellence programs as Transasia continues its mission of making quality diagnostics more accessible across India and global markets.

Navin Chainani returns to Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd. after a distinguished leadership career spanning more than two decades in the diagnostics and healthcare industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President – Specialty Diagnostics at Agappe Diagnostics Ltd, where he played a key role in driving business growth, strategic partnerships, leadership development, and expansion within the specialty diagnostics segment.

Prior to Agappe, Navin spent more than four years with Abbott as Associate Director – India, where he led the Core Diagnostics business and was responsible for profitable growth, P&L management, cross-functional leadership, and strategic initiatives that delivered strong double-digit growth. His leadership helped strengthen Abbott’s diagnostics business while driving operational excellence and market expansion.

Earlier, he served as Sales Head – Clinical Diagnostics Division & Transplant Diagnostics Division (South Asia) at Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading the Specialty Diagnostics Group’s commercial operations across the region. In this role, he successfully managed P&L responsibilities, developed strategic growth plans, and strengthened the company’s position across key diagnostic segments.

Before Thermo Fisher Scientific, Navin was Consultant Director at Abaxis, Inc., where he successfully established and scaled the company’s operations in India. He led sales and marketing functions, managed full P&L responsibilities, and built the foundation for the company’s commercial presence in the country.

He also spent five years with Beckman Coulter India Pvt. Ltd. as Regional Business Head – West India, overseeing a comprehensive diagnostics portfolio that included hematology, clinical chemistry, immunoassay, urinalysis, microbiology, and nephelometry. His leadership helped drive strong business performance while managing teams and channel partners across the region.

Earlier in his career, Navin served as Business Executive – West at Johnson & Johnson, managing key accounts and strategic customer relationships across Maharashtra and Mumbai. Before that, he began his professional journey with Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd. as an Area Manager, where he was responsible for frontline sales of diagnostic systems including biochemistry analyzers, hematology counters, coagulometers, electrolyte analyzers, and blood gas analyzers.

An engineer by qualification, Navin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, combining strong technical expertise with business leadership capabilities.
