Mount Currie, British Columbia, Canada, June 2026 — Sushilkumar Dige has been promoted to Director of Human Resources at Lil’wat Nation, marking a significant milestone in his human resources career and reflecting his continued growth within the organization. Having served in progressive HR roles since joining the Nation in 2022, Dige now assumes responsibility for leading the organization’s people strategy and human resources operations.
In his new role, Dige will oversee key human resources functions including talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, policy development, and organizational effectiveness. His promotion recognizes the leadership and expertise he has demonstrated while supporting the Nation’s workforce and contributing to a positive employee experience.
Dige joined Lil’wat Nation as a Human Resources Generalist in September 2022 and later advanced to the position of Senior Human Resources Generalist. During his tenure, he has played an important role in strengthening HR processes, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and helping align human resources practices with the Nation’s strategic goals and community-focused values.
Prior to joining Lil’wat Nation, Dige served as Food and Beverage Administrator at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, where he gained valuable operational and administrative experience. He also worked as an Administration Assistant at Brightstart LLC in Dubai, further expanding his expertise in employee support, administration, and workforce operations.
Earlier in his career, Dige built a strong foundation in hospitality human resources through a series of progressively responsible roles with leading Marriott properties. He served as Employee Relations Manager at The Westin Mumbai, Assistant Manager Human Resources at JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai, and held HR positions at Courtyard by Marriott Pune. Across these roles, he developed expertise in employee relations, payroll administration, compensation and benefits, recruitment, training, and HR operations, preparing him for senior leadership responsibilities.
