India, August 2026 — Manish Sharma has joined Perceptive Inc. as Chief Medical Officer – Oncology, bringing extensive leadership experience across oncology imaging, medical affairs, clinical trials, radiology, artificial intelligence, scientific strategy, and central imaging review.
In his new role, Manish will provide medical and scientific leadership for Perceptive’s global oncology imaging strategy, ensuring scientific rigor across clinical-trial endpoints, technologies, and services. He will lead innovation in oncology imaging, AI-enabled clinical tools, imaging endpoints, and emerging imaging methodologies.
His responsibilities also include partnering with pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors to shape imaging strategies, scientific consulting engagements, and regulatory approaches across all phases of oncology drug development. He will build and lead global medical teams while advancing clinical governance, quality, standardisation, cross-functional collaboration, and central-review excellence.
Before joining Perceptive, Manish served for three years as Chief Scientific Officer at Imaging Endpoints. He provided executive leadership across Medical and Scientific Affairs, Research Endpoints, Data Management, and scientific strategy for global oncology imaging programmes.
At Imaging Endpoints, he advanced central-review quality and standardisation through reader-performance monitoring, site-to-central discordance evaluation, and scalable scientific-governance initiatives. He also led artificial intelligence, machine learning, and quantitative imaging programmes designed to strengthen imaging endpoints and clinical-trial decision-making.
Earlier, Manish spent more than two years with Calyx, progressing from Vice President to Country Head. As Country Head, he led the company’s growth strategy in India, supported business expansion, strengthened operational efficiency, and built a Data Science division focused on clinical-trial analytics. He also guided regulatory-critical scientific and medical strategies and led AI and machine-learning adoption across imaging, data management, and reader operations.
Before Calyx, Manish spent more than six years with PAREXEL, serving as Vice President and previously as Senior Medical Director. He led scientific, medical, and operational strategy for imaging-based clinical trials, established a Data Science division, expanded capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region, and supported the adoption of advanced analytics and AI for reader-performance and imaging-quality monitoring.
As Senior Medical Director at PAREXEL, he provided medical and scientific oversight for imaging endpoints in pivotal global trials. His work included developing trial protocols, imaging-assessment criteria, reviewer-training programmes, performance-monitoring systems, customised image-analysis software, and imaging workflows supporting regulatory submissions.
Prior to PAREXEL, Manish served as Associate Vice President, Medical Affairs at Lambda Therapeutic Research. He designed clinical-study protocols, provided medical monitoring, and developed regulatory strategies for submissions to the US FDA, EMA, MHRA, and DCGI. He also established and managed India’s first fully equipped contract research organisation with a Central Medical Imaging Core Lab and supported digital transformation through the implementation of electronic clinical and trial-management systems.
Earlier, he worked as Associate Medical Director at Parexel, where he established Asia’s first fully equipped central imaging laboratory in Hyderabad. He developed imaging parameters, assessment criteria, surrogate endpoints, reviewer-training programmes, and customised image-analysis tools for clinical-trial applications.
Manish’s clinical career includes serving as a Consultant Radiologist at Usmanpura Imaging Centre, where he directed MRI and CT operations and helped install and operationalise Gujarat’s first 1.5T MRI scanner. He also participated in oncology imaging studies and multidisciplinary clinical and radiology boards.
He began his medical and radiology career at B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, serving as a Radiology Resident and later as Senior Registrar. During this period, he performed and interpreted MRI, CT, ultrasound, Doppler, and interventional radiology studies, contributed to clinical research, mentored postgraduate students, and delivered educational presentations on medical imaging.
With experience spanning clinical radiology, medical affairs, global clinical trials, oncology imaging, scientific governance, data science, and AI-enabled technologies, Manish brings a multidisciplinary perspective to Perceptive’s oncology leadership team.
