Lagos State, Nigeria, August 2024 – Avinash Kumar has joined DAG Industries Nigeria Ltd. as the Head of Human Resources. In this role, he will oversee all HR and administrative functions for the company, driving employee engagement, recruitment, and compliance for over 500 permanent employees. DAG Industries, the largest assembly unit for Bajaj automobiles in Africa, relies on Avinash’s expertise to support its growth and operational efficiency in Nigeria.
Before joining DAG Industries, Avinash was the Head of Human Resources at Contec Global Limited in Lagos, where he managed HR functions for multiple business operations across West Africa, including e-governance, fintech, and energy sectors. He played a pivotal role in improving HR strategies and systems during his two-year tenure.
Prior to that, he was the Senior Human Resources Manager at FLEX FILMS AFRICA PRIVATE LIMITED (UFLEX GROUP), where he led HR activities for a greenfield polyester film plant in Ogun State, Nigeria. Avinash’s work spanned recruitment, employee development, expatriate management, and compliance with local laws.
Earlier in his career, Avinash worked with UFLEX Group as the Manager – Corporate HR, where he managed global hiring for the group’s diverse business units. He also served as a Corporate Recruiter at Korn Ferry Futurestep and held a leadership role at Aegis Limited in Jamshedpur, managing large-scale recruitment initiatives.
