London, United Kingdom, June 2024 – Basant K. Tripathi has joined GBG Plc as the new Director of Employee Experience. With a rich background in human resources and organizational development, Basant brings extensive expertise to the team, aiming to enhance the company’s HR strategies and support its workforce.
Before joining GBG Plc, Basant served as a Mentor at the Institute for Sustainability Leadership, University of Cambridge for approximately 4 years. In this role, he supported innovators, entrepreneurs, and SMEs in integrating sustainability into their business operations.
Basant’s extensive career also includes a significant tenure at AVEVA for approximately 9 years, where he held multiple roles. As the Global Strategic HR Business Partner (Director HR), he supported the global executive leadership team by aligning organizational capabilities and processes with business strategy. Prior to that, he was the Global Head Talent Acquisition and Engagement, where he managed global strategies for talent acquisition, corporate social responsibility, diversity, and inclusion.
Earlier in his career, Basant worked at Schneider Electric for approximately 3 years as the HR Head, Software Business. He was responsible for the entire HR function for the software business in India and APAC, managing multiple business functions and integration projects.
He also held the position of HR Business Partner at Nokia for approximately 3 years, representing HR functions to business vertical leadership and executing global HR interventions.
