Deerfield, Illinois, United States, July 2026 — Baxter International Inc. has appointed Michael Lemberger as Director of People Analytics, strengthening its workforce analytics capabilities as the global medical technology company continues to build data-driven people practices and organizational insights.
In his new role, Michael will lead the strategic transformation of People Analytics, focusing on building scalable analytics practices, generating deeper workforce insights, and equipping leaders with meaningful and actionable intelligence that supports stronger business and talent outcomes.
Prior to joining Baxter International, Michael spent nearly nine years with Zurich North America, where he progressed through several roles across HR information systems and people analytics.
Most recently, he served as Director of People Analytics, leading the People Analytics function and a team of analysts responsible for delivering enterprise-level workforce insights. He worked with HR Business Partners to define business questions, analyze workforce trends, develop KPIs, and provide data-driven recommendations related to talent and organizational priorities. He also collaborated with data privacy teams to strengthen governance, ethical data use, and regulatory compliance.
As an HR Analytics Consultant, Michael built predictive turnover models, analyzed emerging workforce risks, and presented strategic insights to the CHRO and senior executives. He began his Zurich tenure as a Human Resources Information System Analyst, supporting dashboards, workforce trend analysis, reporting standardization, data quality, and analytical capability building.
Before joining Zurich North America, Michael spent more than six years with Gallup as a Research Manager. In this role, he managed customer and healthcare databases, supported HCAHPS reporting, maintained compliance with healthcare data requirements, conducted internal research, and delivered business impact analyses connecting engagement data with measures such as productivity, safety, retention, turnover, and profitability.
Earlier in his career, Michael held academic and research roles with Waubonsee Community College, Northern Illinois University, the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements, and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His work included teaching statistics and psychology research courses, conducting research, supporting graduate and undergraduate students, and applying analytical tools including SPSS, SAS, Excel, and Access.
Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Quantitative and Qualitative Methods from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Concordia University Chicago.
