Singapore, June 2024 – Cat Craven has joined Westpac as the new Head of Human Resources, Asia. With a strong background in HR business partnering, leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion, Cat brings a wealth of experience to the team, aiming to enhance Westpac’s HR strategies and support its workforce across Asia.
Before joining Westpac, Cat served at Mastercard for over 3.5 years. She began as a People Business Partner, supporting the employee lifecycle for the International Markets group and leading the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy for the Australasian division. Later, she was promoted to Director, People Business Partner + AP Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead, where she continued her efforts in enhancing employee engagement and strategic HR initiatives.
Prior to Mastercard, Cat was the APAC Human Resources Leader at Capco for about 2 years. In this role, she operated in a start-up environment across four Asian locations, leading a team of COE experts to deliver an excellent employee experience with a data-driven approach to employee engagement.
Cat also held the role of Chief of Staff at PwC for nearly 3 years, where she co-created and executed the people talent strategy for PwC China and Hong Kong, working closely with the Human Capital Partner and firmwide leadership. Earlier at PwC, she was a Human Capital Relationship Manager, providing HR business partnering support to various consulting portfolios.
Cat’s earlier career includes roles as a Talent Management Consultant at Baker McKenzie, a Graduate Recruiter at Clayton Utz, and a Consultant at First Counsel. She started her HR career as a Human Resources Officer and Learning Development Officer at Australian Catholic University.
