Hanover, Maryland, United States, June 22, 2026 — Ciena has appointed Grant Hoffman as Chief Supply Chain Officer, reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to scale operations to meet growing global demand for high-performance networking infrastructure.
Hoffman joins Ciena with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning global supply chain management, operations, portfolio management, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. In his new role, he will lead the company’s global supply chain strategy, focusing on operational excellence, scalability, customer delivery, and supply chain resilience as demand for advanced networking technologies continues to accelerate.
Prior to joining Ciena, Hoffman served as Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Poly, where he led end-to-end global supply chain operations and spearheaded the company’s digital supply chain transformation initiatives. Following Poly’s acquisition by HP Inc., he assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Operations and Solutions Delivery, overseeing a global organization responsible for customer delivery and support, field and channel operations, and enterprise-wide operational execution.
Earlier in his career, Hoffman held senior leadership positions with Google, Motorola, and Continental AG, building extensive expertise in supply chain modernization, operational transformation, manufacturing excellence, logistics management, and customer-centric delivery models.
Commenting on his appointment, Hoffman said that it is an exciting time to join Ciena as artificial intelligence continues to drive demand for high-performance network infrastructure.
