Smucker Co. has appointed Douglas Guilherme as Senior Vice President, Operations & Supply Chain, strengthening its executive leadership team as the company continues to enhance operational excellence, supply chain resilience, and sustainable growth across its portfolio of iconic food and pet brands. In his new role, Douglas will lead the company’s operations and end-to-end supply chain strategy, driving manufacturing excellence, digital transformation, innovation, and customer-focused execution.
With more than 25 years of global leadership experience across operations, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, digital transformation, and business strategy, Douglas Guilherme brings deep expertise in building high-performing global supply chain organizations and leading complex operational transformations across the food, consumer goods, specialty chemicals, and industrial sectors.
Prior to joining The J.M. Smucker Co., Douglas served at The Hershey Company, where he most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain. Earlier, he was Vice President of Global Supply Chain, leading the end-to-end supply chain for Hershey’s confectionery and salty snacks businesses. During his tenure, he oversaw global manufacturing, engineering, planning, procurement, logistics, continuous improvement, digital strategy, and supply chain transformation initiatives while supporting a portfolio of more than 90 brands and driving operational excellence, sustainability, and innovation across global operations.
Before Hershey, Douglas served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Purolite, an Ecolab Company, following senior leadership assignments at Ecolab, where he held roles including Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Vice President, Supply Chain – International Markets, leading manufacturing, planning, procurement, logistics, customer service, and regional supply chain operations across multiple international markets.
In addition to his executive leadership career, Douglas serves as a Board Member at Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota, supporting workforce development and community impact initiatives, and is the Founder and Board Director of the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Board at Board.org, where he collaborates with industry leaders to advance innovation and best practices in global supply chain management.
