Ganesh brings more than 25 years of global banking and technology leadership experience, with deep expertise in global capability centres (GCCs), risk management, operations, technology transformation, and organizational leadership. His extensive international experience across India and the United Kingdom positions him to lead ANZ’s Bengaluru GCC as it continues to expand its strategic role within the bank’s global operations.

Prior to joining ANZ, Ganesh spent nearly 29 years at Citi, where he held a series of senior leadership positions across technology, operations, risk, and global delivery. Most recently, he served as Managing Director – Global Head, Institutional Business & IT Controls Assessment, based in London, leading global control assessment teams across Technology & Cybersecurity, Markets, Services, Banking, and Finance while driving the adoption of Generative AI capabilities to modernize control testing and regulatory readiness.

Earlier, he held leadership roles including Managing Director, Head – Operations and Technology Risk & Control for EMEA, Managing Director & Head – International Enterprise Operations & Technology Risk & Control, and Managing Director & Head – EMEA Data Governance & Operations & Technology Risk & Control, where he led large-scale transformation programs, strengthened enterprise risk frameworks, standardized governance practices across multiple regions, and delivered sustainable operational improvements.

A significant chapter of his career was spent building and scaling Citi’s India technology capabilities. As Managing Director & Head of Citi Solutions Centre, Pune, he played a pivotal role in establishing the centre as a strategic global technology hub focused on high-value engineering, regulatory technology, and innovation. Earlier leadership roles as Country Head – GTRS India and India Country Head – Institutional Clients Group Technology Resource Strategy further strengthened his expertise in developing global delivery organizations, managing large-scale technology programs, and building high-performing teams across international markets.

Ganesh holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Manufacturing from Vinoba Bhave University, providing a strong engineering foundation that has complemented his leadership journey across banking, technology, and global operations.
