Texas, United States, January 2025 – Gonzalo Mendez Filleul has been named as the Chief People Officer (CPO) at Upstart 13. In his new role, Gonzalo will lead the company’s human resources strategy, focusing on employee experience, talent development, culture, diversity, and inclusion, while also driving key HR performance metrics to ensure Upstart 13 remains a great place to work.
Prior to his appointment as CPO, Gonzalo served as Head of Talent Management at Upstart 13, where he spearheaded HR strategy, improving engagement and retention while enhancing talent attraction initiatives. Under his leadership, the company achieved Great Place to Work recognition.

Before joining Upstart 13, Gonzalo worked at Accenture, where he held leadership roles, including Global Talent Scout – DIS LATAM, focusing on HR strategy, staffing solutions, and talent development for global teams. His expertise in talent acquisition and organizational development was further honed during his tenure as SR HRBP & Payroll Consultant at Neeyamo, where he specialized in HR compliance, payroll, and employee engagement strategies.
Gonzalo’s career also includes significant experience in HR consulting and leadership, including roles as Sr. HR Director & Consultant at GMF Simplified Solutions, and various HR leadership positions at SYKES, SOUTHWORKS, and TeleTech. His extensive background in talent acquisition, workforce management, and employee engagement makes him a valuable asset to Upstart 13.
